NEWARK – Thousands of small business owners throughout New Jersey are struggling to succeed because they do not have access to financing, which means they may resort to predatory lenders or credit cards to keep their businesses going, according to Prudential Financial officials.
BrightStreet, a new nonprofit microfinance model sponsored by Prudential Financial and TD Bank, aims to eliminate financial and operational barriers by providing loans, technology, mentoring, training and other necessities for small business success.
