Over the past four decades, I’ve had the opportunity to witness Newark’s evolution, in good times as the city grew and prospered, and during challenging periods such as COVID and the great financial crisis. Throughout, one thing has remained constant: the incredible resilience, creativity and spirit of innovation displayed by small business owners, which are the foundation of Newark’s economic vitality.
